12 Days of Christmas Books

We have a fun and free Christmas tradition to start with your family this year. Each year in December, we round up all of our Christmas books in the house. I choose 12 and wrap them in Christmas wrapping. The 12 nights leading up to Christmas, the kids open one a night. Even though they are books we already have, the kids get so excited to unwrap a new book each night. You can also store the books with your holiday decorations to keep them out of sight and together for the next year. We always end with The Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve!

If you don’t have 12 Christmas books on hand, library books work great as well. They don’t cost you anything and after the kids have read them, you can return them to rent a new one the following year. If you’d like to start a Christmas collection of children’s books, we’ve rounded up a few favorites to purchase below!

Happy reading and Merry Christmas!
