Come celebrate the season finale of the city’s newest vintage market, Vintage Garage Chicago! October 21st at 5051 N. Broadway between Foster and Argyle, Uptown. The Garage is in easy reach with the bus or the Red Line’s Argyle stop.

The show operates seasonally April-October on the 3rd Sunday of the month. This month not only will we have some of Chicago’s best Vintage we’ll also have some of the best Food Trucks. Baby Cakes Food Truck, Bridgeport Pasties, Chi-Town Tamale, Chicago
Cupcake, Curried Away, DucknRoll and Ice-Cubed along with music from Dickie Paull and Steve Sommerfeld of Sticky. 9 am to 4 pm.

While the season change may bring an end to vintage markets in the garage, plans are in place to keep the momentum going through the winter. The Vintage Garage will move indoors November 17-18 for a two-day Holiday Trunk Show. Check the Garage website for

Rain or not, it won’t dampen prospects for an exciting new vintage market coming to Chicago June 17. Vintage Garage Chicago is coming to a parking structure in Uptown, which means the weather won’t have an impact on the six month selling season.

“I’ve been a dealer at vintage markets for years,” says promoter Melissa Sands. “It makes an incredible difference whether or not a market is covered.”

Sands predicts the series of summer events will become a staple for vintage shoppers in Chicago.

For the public, Sands says the covering means you don’t have think about changing plans if the skies turn cloudy. For dealers, they don’t have to worry about the bright sun damaging merchandise, or about covering items quickly should sprinkles, or worse, a downpour arrive.

“Summer weather can be unpredictable,” Sands says. “The covering is going to help make Vintage Garage Chicago be the consistent ‘go-to’ event in the city.”

The Vintage Garage Chicago will be held June thru October on the third Sunday of each month. The hours will be 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and the event will be held at 5051 Broadway, in Chicago between Argyle and Foster.
