Taste of Chicago is the nation’s premier outdoor food festival showcasing the diversity of Chicago’s dining community. The delicious array of food served at Taste of Chicago is complemented by music and exciting activities for the entire family. Every summer since 1980, Chicago’s beautiful Grant Park on the city’s magnificent lakefront has been home to the world’s largest food festival.

Restaurants

Menu items will include such varieties as

Tortilla Encrusted Tiliapia Taco from Carbon, Jolloff Rice with Sauteed Goat from

Vee-Vee’s African Cuisine and Deep Fried Chinese Bread from Lao Sze Chuan.

Pop-Up Restaurants

15 restaurants will participate as Pop-Up restaurants at the 2012 Taste of Chicago.

Sample culinary offerings from Chicago’s various neighborhoods this summer as 59 restaurants participating in Taste of Chicago 2011 serve a diverse menu in Grant Park June 24-July 3. Many new items are being offered this year from both new and returning restaurants providing Taste attendees with an endless array of options in one location.

Each vendor will serve six items, two of which are special “Taste Of” portions priced at $2 or less. The “Taste Of” portion gives attendees the opportunity to sample a wide variety of items.

Patrons should keep their eyes peeled for the Humana Healthier Choices green apple icon that designates healthy options on the menu boards. There’s also the opportunity to run those calories away at the Humana Race to Taste, Sunday, June 26. Visit www.chicagoracetotaste.us for more info.
