Nacional 27 will celebrate National Rum Day, Saturday, August 16, with an array of rum cocktails ($9 each). The River North restaurant and lounge will offer: Rum Punch; Blue Hawaiian; Planter’s Punch; Hurricane; Daiquiris; and a Market Mojito (cocktails outlined below). Following dinner service, guests are encouraged to hit the dance floor for salsa, meringue, bachata and more spun by DJ X from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.

Let’s muddle! Nacional 27 will hold a mojito-centric cocktail class on Wednesday, July 30 at 6 p.m. Beverage manager Elyse Fuller will demonstrate how to make three mojitos (N27 Mojito; Hennessey Mojito; Chadwick Mojito) while guests taste the libations and nosh on passed tapas such as tostones , chicken empanadas and chorizo croquetas.

Nacional 27 will celebrate “National Pisco Sour Day” (Saturday, February 1) by shaking up a trio of frothy, pisco libations. Guests may choose: Habenero and Pineapple Pisco Sour; Classic Pisco Sour; and Cucumber and Cilantro Pisco Sour. The cocktails are $10 each, or may be enjoyed as a flight for $27.27.
