The first ever Chicago ​Riesling Riot, put on by the hosts of the wildly popular Wine Riot tour, ​is coming to the Great Hall at Chicago’s Union Station on Saturday, June 14th.

Hosted by Second Glass, Riesling Riot gives attendees the opportunity to sample up to 100 different Rieslings from around the world. The event boasts a team of experts who will educate the thousands of rioters on the ins and outs of Riesling, while they enjoy a night full of fun with a DJ, photo booth and unlimited glasses of fantastic wine.

Right now tickets are discounted and can be purchased for $55.00 however they will go back to full price on May 25th and 11:59 p.m and can be purchase for $60.

REVOLUTION BREWING TAP TAKEOVER AND PRIVATE BREWERY TOUR RAFFLE AT SOUTHPORT & IRVING (SIP)
CHICAGO CRAFT BEER WEEK EVENT MAY 23 FROM 7-9 P.M.

This no cover event features four beers from Chicago’s Revolution Brewing in lieu of the usual draft lineup, beer-friendly small plates from executive chef Chris Barron, beer education from SIP’s beer specialist Anna Krajnik and branded giveaways and raffles.

One lucky attendee wins a private tour of Revolution’s Kedzie Avenue brewery, which is located in the Kennedy Planned Manufacturing District at 3340 North Kedzie Avenue. The winner and up to nine guests will be treated to a private tour of the facility and one made-on-site Revolution beer each during the tour. SIP distributes raffle tickets with every Revolution beer purchased during the event and will hold the drawing at 9 p.m.

Expect food selections such as a beer-braised brat with caramelized onions and roasted apple mustard on an onion roll ($6); Prince Edward Island mussels with dry-cured Spanish chorizo, fennel, shallots, garlic and white wine ($12); and the SIP double burger, two four-ounce beef patties with Cheddar cheese, Knutson Farms green pepper jam, red onions, Kosher dill pickle, lettuce, classic mustard, an onion roll and seasoned hand-cut fries ($12)

Featured tap beers for the Friday, May 23 event, which range from $4-$8 each, include Cross of Gold Golden Ale, Crystal-Hero India Pale Ale, Coup D’Etat French-Style Saison and Bottom Up Wit. The Wit beer will be featured at SIP throughout Chicago Craft Beer Week (May 15-25) for $4.
