In honor of Valentine’s Day, Chef Roger Waysok of South Water Kitchen will be preparing a special Red Velvet Twinkie for guests on their Five-Course Valentine’s Day Dinner Pre-Fixe Menu. Heartland Café, a neighborhood hot-spot dedicated to community building and honoring its Midwestern roots, is excited to host a barn dance for Valentine’s Day! Singles, couples, beginners, advanced, all ages—all are welcome to dance the night away and celebrate the holiday. This low key but high energy event is the perfect way for anyone, couples and singles alike, to enjoy Valentine’s Day. Jo Mortland will be calling and provide a basic lesson before the evening begins–so pros and beginners will have all the tools they need for a fun evening.
Guests will be dancing squares, pairs and lines with live music by Mudflapps and a live caller, Jo Mortland.
In addition, a delicious all-you-can-eat dessert table will be available to satisfy the Valentine’s Day sweet tooth. Fresh chocolate-dipped fruits, vegan chocolate cake, carrot cake and other goodies are sure to provide energy for a night of dancing fun!
