Make a fall window box with me! Everything in the box is a faux floral for easy upkeep and to keep it from getting too heavy! A lot of this greenery can stay in the spring and summer with a few floral additions! I’ll also replace some of this with evergreen branches for the holidays. Kids Ice Cream Party Birthday

We had such a fun birthday party for our little one! She chose an ice cream party and we did it at home with an ice cream sundae bar, ice cream painting, and plenty of cute ice cream details!

We used mini canvas, easels, and water color paints and had the kids paint a mini ice cream cone. They could then add real sprinkles and we used clear glue and a paint brush to keep the sprinkles on the canvas.

After pizza we opened the ice cream sundae bar with a make your own sundae station and birthday cake. The sundae bar had multiple flavors of ice cream, different toppings, candy, gummy bears, and syrups, and more.

Instead of a bunch of small plastic favors that get tossed in the trash, I opted for a $5 gift card to our local ice cream shop, a cute ice cream pen, and a pack of fruit snacks. This came out to about $8 a girl. I would definitely spend over that sometimes on junk to fill a goodie bag!

For Easter 2023, we’ll go splurge vs. save on some Easter and spring decor, gifts, and home items. Update Your Living Room on a Budget

Aside from your bedroom, your living room is probably the place in your house that you spend the most time. Whether it’s watching a movie on your sofa or eating lunch, the chances are you’ve spent some time in your living room today. If you’re sick of your space, it can really put a dampener on the precious moments of leisure time you get to spend in it. However a full room redesign can take time and cost money that most of us simply don’t have. That doesn’t mean you can’t give your space a home make over though! Here are a few simple hints and tips for giving your living room an update on a small budget:

Shed a Little Light

It’s important to get the right lighting in your home, particularly in your living room. This doesn’t have to be expensive (it can be as simple as moving around a few lamps) but you’ll be amazed at what difference the right lighting can have to your space. Place a floor lamp next to your sofa, creating a snug space to read or work on your laptop. Choose a light bulb with a lower wattage for your main ceiling lamp, so that the light it emits is softer and more muted. These simple changes will make your living room look like it’s had an expensive make over: and they’ll only take a few minutes to do too!
