Chef Patrick Cassata Pairs Five Crab Dishes with Oregon Wine

Bakersfield restaurant will hold a crab and wine dinner on Thursday, November 21 at 7 p.m. Executive Chef Patrick Cassata has crafted five courses that feature crab (crab crepe; Dungeness crab fritters; grilled Alaskan king crab; smoked Alaskan king crab), including a “crab cake” dessert (vanilla sponge cake cooked in a king crab shell with green tea gelato and togarashi anglaise). Each dish will be paired with an Oregon wine. The complete menu is outlined below. The fee is $58 per guest, and reservations are required. In Good Taste: Local Restaurants Raise Money for Breast Cancer Research 10.1-10.31

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – the perfect time to wine and dine for a good cause. The Lynn Sage Foundation, a Chicago-based organization committed to finding a cure for breast cancer, will partner with over 150 Chicagoland restaurants in October to help raise money for In Good Taste: A Breast Cancer Research Initiative. Eleven of the participating establishments include: La Madia; Firecakes Donuts; Stout Barrel House & Galley; Epic; Taco Joint; Standard Market Grill; Standard Market; Bakersfield; Quince; Cactus Bar & Grill; and Franklin Tap.
