What: In response to overwhelming demand, Bow & Stern Oyster Bar has announced the return of a former menu item, the lobster roll, for one night only a month. Beginning on July 31 and repeating every last Thursday of the month thereafter, Lobster Roll Night will feature executive chef Brian Greene’s previous “always sold out” dish for $18. Chef Greene’s original recipe incorporates fresh juicy lobster chunks scooped from a whole poached Maine lobster drowned in a lemon aioli, Calabrian chile, parsley tarragon, and grilled red onion mixture topped off with arugula and served on a crispy New England Roll with a side of fresh-cut French fries.

SIP hosts Chicago-basedย Berghoff Brewery, an iconic 127-year-old company that rebranded its more mainstream German-style beers into modern, premium ingredient German-inspired craft beers in 2013, at this special tap takeover and beer night. The walk-around event features education and Q&A with owner Ben Minkoff and brand manager Tim Lucas, raffles and giveaways for prizes such asย Chicago Cubsย tickets,food and drink vouchers for theย 29thย Annual Berghoff Oktoberfestย held September 10-12 at the John C. Kluczynski Federal Plaza (230 South Dearborn Street) andย logoed Berghoff gearย including shirts, glasses and jerseys.

 

Be one of the first in Chicago to try the just-launchedย Shambler,ย a limited release Radler made with granola and multi-grain, and one of the last to enjoy theย Solstice Wit;ย the brewery has nearly sold out of the limited release summer seasonal in Chicago. Two year-round beers will also be on offer, including the honey-and molasses-spikedGermaniac Pale Aleย and the Altbier-inspiredย Sir Dunkle Crispy Dark Lager.ย Beers range from $5-$7 each and will also be offered as a flight of four for $8 (four-ounce samples).
