Timothy O’Toole’s Pub is ready to swap their Irish tweed caps and cable knit sweaters for German lederhosen and Alpine hats. The Streeterville restaurant and bar will hold a two day Oktoberfest event on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29. O’Toole’s will offer five German biers in 25-ounce steins ($6.50, listed below) and three food specials (Chicken Schnitzel; Bratwurst Sandwiches; Soft Pretzels with spicy mustard). The celebratory atmosphere and oom pah pah music will have revelers saying “Prost!” until 4 a.m. on Saturday and 3 a.m. on Sunday.

This is the Second Stop on 312 Chicago’s “Travel Italy: Four-Part Wine Series”

WHAT: Chef Luca Corazzina invites you to celebrate the distinctive flavors of Sardinia with a four-course dinner and wine pairing representative of the regions native cuisine, at 312 Chicago on September 25 at 7pm. As the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, several foods are unique to Sardinia, including “malloreddus” or small chewy dumplings, “maialetto” or roasted pig, “pane carasau” or crisp flatbread, persevered meats and cheeses, sauces with poached tomatoes and eggs, sweet myrtle and bitter honey. A native of Padova, Italy, Chef Luca’s special pre-fixe menu will pay homage to Sardinia, one of his favorite regions, with four courses heavily influenced by its rich heritage.

This is the second stop on 312 Chicago’s culinary tour through Italy, known as the “Travel Italy: Four-Part Wine Series”. Chef Luca will invite Chicagoans to travel with him to the regions of Veneto on October 16 and Abruzzo on November 20.

Guests can sip on Untitled’s “Drink Pink” menu donning beautiful bottles and glasses of Moet & Chandon “Imperial” Brut NV ($76 bottle/$18 glass) and Moet & Chandon Rose ($89 bottle/$20 glass). These selected bottles will be the centerpieces on each dining table in honor of the month. Untitled will donate $1 for every glass or $5 for every bottle of the Moet & Chandon champagne or rose purchased back The Lynn Sage Foundation.

In this behind-the-scenes tour, guests will take a guided walk through both public and private spaces in our historic building, while also getting a chance to indulge in some of The Berghoff’s classic menu items.
Guests will learn about The Berghoff’s debut at the World’s Fair in 1893, receiving the first liquor license after Prohibition was repealed in 1933, and get a glimpse into our daily operations and food preparations. Guests will also get a comprehensive explanation into our rich buildings history and beautiful artwork.

While learning about the Berghoff family history, you will enjoy three classic Berghoff food items (mini bratwurst, reuben, and apple strudel), your choice of one of our five beers to sample and, of course, our famous Berghoff root beer! Each tour will last between 60 – 90 minutes.
