Here’s a fun and easy kids craft about sunflowers 🌻

Materials:

• 1 paper plate
• Yellow paint or markers
• Green construction paper
• Brown tissue paper (or brown paint/crayons)
• Scissors (safety scissors for kids)
• Glue stick

Directions:

1. Make the Petals

• Cut small triangle shapes around the edge of the paper plate so it looks like petals.
• Paint or color the petals yellow.

1. Create the Stem & Leaves

• Cut a strip of green construction paper for the stem.
• Cut 2 leaf shapes.

1. Add the Center

• Crumple small pieces of brown tissue paper and glue them in the middle of the plate (or color it in with brown paint/crayon).

1. Assemble the Sunflower

• Glue the green stem and leaves to the back of the paper plate.
• Let everything dry.

Optional Extras:

• Add a popsicle stick instead of paper for the stem to make it sturdier.
• Make a whole “garden” of sunflowers to hang on the wall.
• Write a positive word (like joy, kindness, smile) in the middle of each sunflower.
