This Valentine’s Day, Executive Chef Derek Simcik of Atwood will be preparing a special “Beats of the Heart” Four-Course Tasting Menu. Each of the courses is “heart themed” and actually includes one carnivorous heart.
× 1st Course: Hearts of Palm butter-popcorn, crab
× 2nd Course: Artichoke Hearts scallops, cauliflower, mushroom and artichoke oil
× 3rd Course: Pig Heart pork tenderloin, sausage, caraway spatzle, endive marmalade
× 4th Course: KOVAL Bourbon smoked loganberry cake, malted brown-butter ‘dirt’, loganberry glass (KOVAL only uses the “heart cut” of the distillate)
The cost is $55/person and $20/person additional with pairing.

× Overnight accommodations
× “Beats of the Heart” Four-Course Tasting Menu for two at Atwood
× Welcome bottle of champagne
× Starting rates of $279/night (not inclusive of alcohol, tax or tip)
× Bookable here with rate code HEART. Available February 13-16, 2014.
